We are pleased to offer our professionally certified nanny services to parents needing long-term childcare within the comfort of their own homes. Our unique service provides on the job training to our qualified nannies prior to placement in a private setting in daycare centers, family home daycares and as short term childcare providers in a substitute capacity. Nannies are then placed with families after careful interviews and evaluations are conducted. Potential candidates are provided based on pre-determined profiles and criteria.

Training:

Our certified nanny staff must have completed a certified training course that is not limited to but includes the following:

• HEALTH, SANITATION AND SAFETY IN THE CARING OF YOUNG CHILDREN
• COMMUNICATION WITH PARENTS AND CHILDREN
• NUTRITION, SAFE FOOD PREPARATION AND STORAGE
• THE GROWING AND DEVELOPMENTAL STAGES OF CHILDREN AGES 0-12
• CARING FOR OTHERS, CARING FOR YOURSELF
• HOW TO DEAL WITH STRESS AND GREAT STAY-AT-HOME EXERCISE IDEAS
• ACTIVITIES FOR THE PROVIDER AND FAMILIES COMBINED
• TRANSITIONING

They are also encouraged to attend periodic early childhood and development training and are coached in maintaining:

Integrity
Honesty
Reliability
Moral Responsibility

All nannies are required to have the following credentials:

• CPR and First Aid certification
• Nanny Certification
• Having had: National Criminal Background Checks
• Statewide Criminal Background Checks
• Be bondable
• Be insurable: for both liability and transportation

Program Requirements and Registration

Rainy Day refers potential nanny candidates to prospective clients prior to service for pre-qualification interviews. A service initiation fee is required at time of registration and prior to Nanny’s being referred. Once a nanny is accepted for the position, a one time referral fee and service agreement is signed and paid for. Payment for services is made directly to the Nanny at a pre-determined rate determined prior to hire. All employment related taxes are the sole responsibility of the client.

In the event that services are abruptly terminated or determined to be unsatisfactory, a prorated reimbursement of the referral fee may be given to the customer for up to 30 days from initial date of hire.
